Our Objectives

Undertake the export – import of especially Organic agricultural produce/products which include but not limited to ginger, turmeric, sesame, trigger nuts, hibiscus, potatoes, soya beans, cassava cashew nuts, vegetables, poultry, livestock, fisheries etc, and other seasoning spices and to ensure availability of high-quality seeds and good breeds of livestock with African outlook.

Improve the crops in objective (1) in order to compete favorably with the domestic and export market competitors.

Establish need- based decentralized research and extension services to cater for national and regional needs as well as address the emerging issues on inorganic farming by engaging more in organic production.

Increase productivity and real income of farmers in rural areas on a sustainable basis.

Encourage export of agricultural commodities and keeping in view domestic production and need.

Promote adoption of modern agricultural practices in dry-land, wetland, upland, and coastal areas.

Promote commercialization and industrialization of agriculture and ensure stable market prices of the produce for sustainable profit to the farmers in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Encourage the establishment of comparatively large farms which would ultimately develop into commercial entities.

Promote wider women and youth’s participation in homestead-based agricultural production, post-harvest management, agro/food processing, marketing and decision-making for their empowerment.

Create opportunities for agricultural produce/product processing and establishing agro based industry to ensure easy marketing and fair prices of commodities by providing adequate storage and processing facilities or packaging materials to enhance food security hygiene.
